The work of Small Sums is possible only through the generous support of our donors, collaborations, and relationships. We partner with referring organizations that serve the poor and homeless in Minnesota to provide our clients with the simple things needed for work, often within 24-72 hours from their application. We believe that by collaborating with other organizations, homeless individuals who’ve just found a job and are on their way back to stability, will have more supports as they get back to a more stable living situation. The Dignity Center The Dignity Center is a homeless outreach ministry program of Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church in Minneapolis. The Dignity Center works with people to achieve and maintain stability. Participants engage with one advocate, make and keep appointments, set goals and report actions taken to achieve those goals. They work together on stability skills such as problem solving, decision making, organization and budgeting. Progress is measured as improved housing, increased financial situation, completed education and training, and obtained employment. Learn more about the Dignity Center here.
